JUnk Email Folder

Hi,

One of my users reported that the email was taking a long time to respond using outlook 2007 on investigation I have found that it's the Junk email folder that's causing the issue, I get the same problem if access the folder through the Webmail it just hangs for ages.

I have browsed into D:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\POSTOFFICES\***\MAILROOT\[mailbox] and the junk folder has no messages but does have the following files in _DIRSIZE.tmp, _FOLDER.DAT, _Folder.xml, index.blk, index.xml, index.xml.bak, _NOIFY.NFY

My question is can I just remove these files in the hope it resolves the issue?

Hi,

The issue will be the index.blk file in the folder. Are you able to delete the file? You may as well delete all the files in the folder to see if this fixes your problem.
