List Server problem with large Mailing Lists

Postby stonecutter » Tue Oct 27, 2009 7:27 pm

I sent in a support ticket last week regarding a problem with the List Server connector and haven't heard back yet in regards to the problem. I have found that when I create a mailing List which has (approximately) 500 subscribers or more, that when a 'subscribe', unsubscribe' List Help, bounce message or any other email intended for the Moderator comes in, that it is distributed to the entire list membership instead of just the List Moderator.

I had one list with 643 members go up for grabs because of this and now have an important client with a subscriber list of 18,000 members and it did the same thing right after their list was created. As a result I've had to disable both lists until a solution is found. Even if a list is password protected or set as Moderated it sends out messages intended for the moderator to everyone!

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there some way to prevent it or is it a bug in the code?

I'm running MailEnable version 4 with the MEFilter v.7 add-on on a Windows 2003 server system. If anyone has run into this problem and found a fix for it, I'd be extremely grateful for any feedback or suggestions. My new client is becoming impatient so I'm hoping we can fix this before I lose them.
Thanks.

I just had one ticket closed in regards to some inline images not being displayed in the message body when using Webmail but the email notification didn't give any info as to the outcome.
When i submitted the ticket online for the List Server defect it said my ticket was successfully submitted but I never received an email confirmation about it. I suspect something went awry but was hesitant about submitting a duplicate support ticket. Now I'm thinking I should just go ahead and resubmit it.
Thanks.

You can see in your online services section of the MailEnable web site the status and previous replies for any tickets.

All tickets lodged are completed with a response so you should be able to see where it is at in this regard from within your Online Services login.

If you need any follow up beyond this then supply a ticket number and we can help further.
