IMAP not letting clients connect

Postby roymullinsjr » Wed Mar 16, 2016 10:15 pm

IMAP service says its running but non of my clients can connect using the service. When i look in the logs is says that the use doesnt exist or that the password is incorrect. They can connect by web or using pop. What could be wrong ?

Hi,

Have they specified the correct username format within the client settings? I.e: mailboxname@postofficename

Yes. It still says invalid username and password in the logs.

Hi,

Are you able to authenticate the user via the MailEnable web mail client or POP? Can you post up a log snippet of the IMAP activity and associated debug log files?
