Unable to open certain PDF in Outlook 2016.

Hi Guys,

I had tried to google for this solutions but apparently there is no response or a solutions for this so far.

My client which is using a mailenable server, on POP3 , using Microsoft Home and Business 2016. Recently, they encounter this issue of certain PDF attachments (Not all) are unable opening from outlook 2016. The Error Message is as such "Acrobat could not open '[name of file]' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)".

I had tried to save the file to C drives and open it up but still have the error. We had tried various methods like reinstall office, repair pst, edit registry but still can't.

My client told us that there is only 2 ways to see the PDF.

1. Opening from web mail and download it.
2. Forward to phone email and sent it back to outlook 2016.

Hence I hope there will be a solutions for this.

Will be deeply appreciate with any experts whom encounter such situations and had a solutions.

The mailenable is currently running on Mailenable Enterprise Premium version 5.62.

Hi,

Have you tried configuring the client to connect via IMAP to see if this still causes the attachment to become corrupt when downloading from the server? Does the same problem occur if you setup another client machine running Outlook 2016 when downloading the same message?
