Samsung phone & S planner / calendar

Postby kather » Fri Dec 16, 2016 10:03 am

Since some days on a Samsung S5 the calendar app S-planner is not showing all items. It's not sure this is a result of an update of the Samsung OS. Or an update we did to version 9.53 ME Professional about the same time.

Strange enough some items are shown. We use a shared mail box / calendar. Items that are added on one device (Sony) will show in the web mail calendar, in Outlook and on the Sony. But not on the Samsung.
Adding an new item on the Samsung would not show in the Outlook, Sony or web mail.

We found in the folder Mail Enable | config | activesync | postoffice | mailbox | device | key | calendar the files _index and state. We were hoping by deleting them and start a new sync all calendar items would reappear. Not the solution.

Mail is still syncing like before; it just the calendar that gives the problem. We have checked also for known issues with the update for Samsung. But for now nothing seems to be wrong.

Does anyone have the same problem? Does anyone has a solution (other then try an factory reset)?
Is seems not to be caused by EAS but you never know.

Of course we have tried other apps: outlook, google calendar etc. but all apps (about the top 10 found in the Play Store) gives the same results.

it was an update of Samsung Android. Looking for answers on the web there were many issues about updates in combination with the Samsung S Planner. Trying all given solutions did not solve the problem.

Strange enough no other calendar apps did solve it; even Outlook did not show the correct calendar. We came to the app Nine which solved every problem with syncing the calendar through EAS. It's a payed app but does everything they claim to do.

So if you have the same trouble with (Samsung) Android just forget the free applications and get Nine... (we are not related to this company in any way only a satisfied customer).
