I installed ME MAPI Connector in Windows 10 with Outlook 2016 and the MAPI option does not appear as an account-type option when I try to add account from either Outlook 2016 directly or Email control panel.

Does the ME MAPI connector work with Outlook 2016 on Windows 10?

thx
Glenn

Hi all

We have the some problems, since we update to last version of ME Connector, we loose the type of account. We try to install older version, and the problem now still mantain.

We also update the Win 10 and Office 2016, with the last security udpates, and nothing.

If anyone know how to solve this, please give us a clue...

Thnks

I am having a similar issue. It looks like Microsoft have changed the add new account options in outlook 2016 which does not allow the selection of the mailenable MAPI connector.

It has also broken adding activesync accounts to Outlook as well - you must have autodiscover working (which mine is) but it does not accept the UPN format for the username - remote connectivity analyzer is showing a 401 error.

I'm currently using Outlook 2016 and Windows 10. I had to create the account through Mail in the control panel. Then selecting email accounts then clicking new. It showed MailEnable server in there as an option under other.

Still no go for me i'm afraid. I still get the new outlook add account wizard with no option to use the mapi add-in (or exchange activesync with manual server settings for that matter). This was working up until a month or two ago, then Microsoft [insert bright idea here] and now it is problematic.

Note I am using Outlook 2016 as part of a 365 Subscription.

Hi,

Yes Microsoft has changed the setup wizards for Outlook. The only way to add the account to an Outlook profile is via Windows > Control Panel > Mail as this still works.

Hi,

Strange. I checked on a Windows 10 creators update running Outlook 2016 up to date patches and was still able to create the MAPI profile via Windows control panel.

Maybe it's specific to Outlook 2016 that is installed with an Office 365 Subscription? This is the case on several colleagues machines, all are Office 365 users.
