Re: Gmail App Crashing

I have tried all sorts on my Nexus 5, but no matter what it crashes all the time.

I can only say something had changed either in ME or in Gmail app over the last couple of months.

Any ideas ?

Re: Gmail App Crashing

Hi, thats has solved the problem on my S8, using the app provided on the phone and not the Gmail one.

I need to now go back to my Nexus, I have only ever had the Gmail app on that phone and it is now crashing.

Re: Gmail App Crashing

Ian, If you mean the Samsung Email app yes its on the phone, to be honest I have never tried it as I have always used the Gmail app with Active Sync. I will give it a try. It really has been working fine your ages now, then boom. Again I will need to look, but I would have though the Gmail app is th...

Re: Gmail App Crashing

Just checked, its also crashing on my Nexus 5. I have tried deleting the accounts on the phones, clearing the active sync data on the server, but still it crashes. Next I created a new mailbox on a different domain, setup active sync, sent a few test emails, created a couple of contacts and then cre...

Gmail App Crashing

I have a Samsung S8 and running ActiveSync, whenever I enable the calendar to sync, it crashes the email app

I have deleted the account, reset the sync on the server, nothing seems to fix the issue.

Anyone have an idea ?

Re: SPam Filters

I found the problem and should have known better really.

After installing SA, you need to restart the MTA process once you have enabled the SA filter.

Might be one to update on your documentation.

Thanks

SPam Filters

How can I see what filters are being run ?

I can see if something has bee caught be a filter but not if all are actually running.

I configured Spam Assasin as one of the first in the list, it certainly does not look like its getting called for all emails.

Is there a way to se ?

Thanks

Non existent domains in DNS

Am I understanding something wrong or what. My server is getting hammered from domains ending in .xyz and .top each are valid 1st level domain names (as per wikipedia), but from what I can see they are not in use yet. The are managed by the new domain company http://www.donuts.domains/ which does no...

Resident AV Scanner

I notice that there is now a new resident AV scanner listed along with the old standard ones.

What does this one do exactly if I enable it ?

Re: Issues after Password Encryption

No I must admit I did not, as I was not sure what it was and no services where stopped from what I could see, hence the reboot.

Issues after Password Encryption

I enabled password encryption today after speaking with a couple of my users. All seems to work great for the basic services but webdav and caldav dont take up the new settings. I had to reboot to get webdav and caldav to start working again. Should the "enable" process not sort this issue ?

Re: Delete a postoffice does not clean up fully

Maybe different, but I use both BlackBerry BES and GOOD for Enterprise servers in the office and those are pooled when attaching to a Exchange Server. I did not think that anything MailEnable was tied to Microsoft, so to use the ActiveSync protocol these are the terms, interesting and costly for sma...

Re: Delete a postoffice does not clean up fully

OK, so I go with the first bits, but the EAS licenses. So are you saying that if a licence is allocated to someone in a company and they leave, that license cannot be reused for someone else ? If I have two postoffices for one company and I want to switch between the two I cannot do that ? So in ess...
