Re: v10 Beta problems

Hi Martyn, I hope you are well. The problem is likely an issue with the framework bitness (which was fixed in a patched kit today). Specifically that it is trying to use x86 framework without it being installed. Could you please assist by updating your installation to the now-current build. Thanks, ...

Re: Outlook 2016 still randomly crashes

Hi Shaun, I trust you had a great xmas break and new year. We posted a beta for 9.54 today at http://www.mailenable.com/beta/. It includes two relevant fixes/improvements. Firstly, there is a fix that will prevent outlook from crashing (and having it corrupt it's pst/ost). In technical terms, the cr...

Re: Outlook 2016 still randomly crashes

Hi webshaun, I would like to make MailEnable's position on this clear before I lock the thread. You have a support ticket open on this, and that is the most productive way to work through this issue. As we have mentioned many times, the crash is occurring within Outlook within Microsoft owned code (...

Re: Connector Version 2 and OpenProtocols

Hi Walter, thanks - When you install the connector (http://www.arpdev.com/download.aspx) then it will edit your MAPISVC.INF file and add details in to allow the configuration of a new Outlook service. The OpenProtocols connector used to be available as a 32 bit and 64 bit installer, but has been cha...

Re: MAPI connector producing duplicate and triplicate emails

Hi, we will be releasing version 2 of the Connector in the new year. In the interim, we do have a build available that is stable (and it does include additional protection for duplicate items). If you wish to access this update as pre-release it is available here: http://www.mailenable.com/mesetup_x...

Re: Outlook 2013 Can't create Contact Group

This is a limitation of the EAS protocol. It does not support personal/server-side groups.
I think some devices (Samsung) provide the experience by linking client side groups to server items (but Outlook does not provide this).

Re: System error

You should check your SMTP Debug and Activity logs at the time that the message is reported and verify the activity of the remote connection.
The most likely reason is that the stated IP address is attempting to guess one of your user's passwords.

Re: Disabling welcome message

You can simply do this in the management console (if you are running a current version). It is located under the security tab of the SMTP Service in the MMC. The label is "alternate welcome message". It can also be done via the registry as outlined here: http://www.mailenable.com/kb/Conten...

Re: Thunderbird dropping/resyncing IMAP Folders on TB restar

Hi Thomas, here are some suggestions. Firstly I would suggest enabling thunderbirds logging - since it will give more insight as to why it is resyncing. Secondly, this thread seems to indicate that there have been problems with Thunderbird's behaviour: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66...

Re: lsass.exe memory usage with MAPI

As I said, I did test with SSL (to see if I could reproduce the behaviour you mentioned). My confusion was moreover whether you were referring to the LSASS service of the client or the server. We will run a soak test against the IMAP server over SSL and monitor the behaviour of the server LSASS. I'l...

Re: lsass.exe memory usage with MAPI

Is the LSASS process on the server or on the client? ie: Are you saying that LSASS jumps on the server or on the client machine when you open a client side outlook connection. From what you have mentioned, it is probably more likely to be client side. If it is occurring on the client, then it is ver...
