Hi,

Inspect the MailEnable SMTP log files and locate the SMTP-OU lines for the SMTP transaction with the Gmail server. Do you see the STARTTLS command being successfully issued with the Gmail server? If not, then it's most likely failing TLS and falling back to non-TLS.

Hi, If you have a second server running Standard edition with identical settings as your problematic server which works, then it's not a MailEnable configuration issue and more so an environmental problem to that server. Have you checked that TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 are enabled on the problematic server...

Hi,

Restart the SMTP service and then check if there are any binding errors for your SSL certificate. Check the log and locate the time where you issued the restart and it will report if the service is failing to bind to the SSL certificate.

Hi,

IP addresses that you need to prevent from connecting to the SMTP service so that inbound emails are not received from those IP's are added to the SMTP "Access Control" list under the option for "Granted all - except those in the list".

Hi, I'm still having the same issue. I posted the original message back in January... Now in august the problem still exists with no additional response from support. Kind of feel deserted... :( If you require a managed response to your problems then the best way forward is to lodge a support ticket...

Hi,

Its because you have Active logging enabled. The C:\ActiveSync folder is the logging folder for Activesync. Open the Activesync management utility and navigate to the "Advanced" tab and disable logging. Then delete all the contents of the folder.
