Re: Best ways to amend .tab files

Here is some code from a vb script that dealt with the SMTP-DENY tab which might help you: FUNCTION OpenMailEnableAccess Response "Opening Mail Enable SMTP-DENY configuration..." dim obj set obj = WScript.CreateObject("MEAOSM.Access") Response "Done.<br>" set OpenMailEn...

Re: ME Standard DKIM

ME Console > Servers > localhost > Extensions > Domain Keys (DKIM). Right-click the Domain Keys entry and select Properties then enable DKIM functionality (I assume this is why you get the "not enabled globally" message).

Re: What are the best settings for DNS Blacklisting?

I don't use the URL blacklisting, only DNS. I had to get rid of Barracuda because it was blocking legitimate (for us) mail sources. I use SpamCop and SpamhausSBL-XBL. We get quite good results from those two. Stats for this month are SpamhausSBL-XBL blocks at 12,886 and Spamcop blocks at 17,964. Che...

Re: EHLO blocking - extension

I happily added the [*.*.*.*] entry for EHLO blocking only to find that all the company Android and Apple devices could no longer send email. They were being rejected as they all use their IP address for EHLO/HELO and I can find no way to change this behaviour.

Re: EHLO blocking - extension

Can it please be confirmed that the wildcard feature mentioned by @Admin is available in 9.54. There is no mention of it in the changelog.

Brett

Re: DKIM Failure - false positive?

Try the email at https://9vx.org/~dho/dkim_validate.php. I used the headers you posted and got the following: dho's Online DKIM Verifier / DKIM Validation Tool Results: fail signature identity: do-not-reply-support@lastpass.com verify result: fail (OpenSSL error: data too small for key size) signatu...

Friendly name for list messages

Currently when sending out emails to a list, the email sender details shows as sender@domain.com on behalf of listname@domain.com.

Is it possible to specify a friendly name for the list (i.e. My Big List) and, if not, it should be added as a suggested improvement.

Re: EHLO blocking - extension

The wildcard option, as far as I know, will not work. You need to specify the full name as supplied by the EHLO command from the host you want to block. As far as seeing that it is working, in the SMTP activity file you will just see the EHLO from the remote server then nothing further in the way of...

Re: Subscribe message sent to all subscribers

So the moderator is not sending an email to the list with "subscribe" on the subject line? It's not clear where this subscribe email is actually being generated, but note that anything the moderator sends to the list will be forwarded to all list members. For my own lists I prefer to use t...

Re: Subscribe message sent to all subscribers

I can see a few problems here. Firstly, the list mode is that email subscriptions are NOT permitted so emailing the subscribe request is not going to work (plus the fact that the subscribe request is supposed to come from the email address that must be added to the subscriptions). Secondly, although...

Re: ClamWin not working proper

I use the ClamAV native Windows port downloaded from http://oss.netfarm.it/clamav/ rather than the version supplied by ME. With that version I have ClamAV scanner set up as a service and do the antivirus scans with clamdscan, as this allows me to run the MTA at 16 threads without a problem. Cheers, ...

Re: SMTP email fails sometimes

The red and green sections are for two completely different types of transactions. The red section is marked as SMTP-OU, which is your server sending to the GMail server. The green section is marked as SMTP-IN which is (probably) BLAT sending to YOUR OWN email server, which should always succeed as ...

Re: After upgrade to 9.16 domain name is appended automatically to login name

Must be a bug. When I try to log in on a secondary domain it adds the default domain to the log in name which obviously fails.
